In this article, we take a look at the activities that took place last week in different art fields such as theater, architecture, cinema, culture and literature, visual arts, fashion, and music.
Cinema
-Iranian drama “Winners” has garnered the audience award at the Edinburgh International Film Festival in Scotland.
-In a one-year period, from June 22, 2021 to June 22, 2022, a total of 106 cinema halls were added to Iran’s theater halls, said CEO of Cinema Shahr Institute.
-Iranian short “Unrest” has been named best short at the Moscow International Documentary Film Festival – Doker.
-Film Museum of Iran was playing host to the 2nd Australian Film Week.
-Directed by Faysal Soysal and produced by Ali Nouri Oskouei, "Silenced Tree" won the prize of the best film at the Munich Film Awards.
-Iranian short "Katvoman" won the best fiction film prize in the international competition section.
-Iranian short film 'The Ring' directed and produced by Roham Rasouli, won the Award of Merit of the 20th edition of the Accolade Global Film Competition in the US.
Fashion
-The invitation to design clothes for fans of the Iran football team in the World Cup in Qatar has been published by the country's fashion and clothing organization working group.
-The 17th National Exhibition of Women and Production will be held from the 9th to the 17th of Shahrivar at the permanent exhibition site of Iran's Municipality, located in the Garden of Conversation.
Visual Arts
-An exhibition of collective works by artists of Tazahib Group was opened in Gallery No. 2 of Niavaran Cultural Center.
-Iran Photo Agency published the call for the second "Iran Man" photo exhibition and store at the same time as the 30th Tehran International Short Film Festival was held.
-The fourth week of the series of specialized meetings on the aesthetics of the Karbala incident saga held on the 8th of Shahrivar, according to the treasure of the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Arts.
-The opening ceremony of the 29th youth visual arts festival was held in the evening of Sunday, the 28th August, with the presence of the deputy of artistic affairs of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, the general director of visual arts, the general director of culture and guidance of Tehran province and a group of artists and students.
-Last week, Tehran galleries hosted 30 new exhibitions in various fields of visual arts.
-An art exhibition and workshop opened on August 27 to mark Government Week in Iran, which started on August 24, at the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance.

Theater
-The third season of the open house theatre "Tanhater az Masih" (lonelier than Christ) produced and directed by Ali Esmaili, focusing on Ashura, is being performed for 30 nights on two occasions, 20 and 22 in Bostan Velayat.
-The first press conference of the 18th International Resistance Theater Festival was held on Tuesday, the 1st of September in the Mashāhir Hall of Shahr Theater.
-Seyyed Mustafa Motorchi was appointed and introduced as the senior assistant secretary of the 41st Fajr International Theater Festival in a decree by Korosh Zarei.
-The performance of the play "Father" directed by Arvand Dashtarai started on the 8th of Shahrivar with the reception of the audience and honoring the life of Daud Rashidi in the main hall of the city theater.
-The opening ceremony of the country's first permanent organ donation card issuing booth was held on Wednesday evening, Shahrivar 9, in Shahrazad Theater campus.
-The winners of different sections of the third creative one-man theater festival "Itsar" were introduced.
Culture and Literature
-The book "Davoud Rashidi" from the series "Permanent Scenes" produced by the Office of Research and Education and Publications of the General Department of Performing Arts was published.
-The list of candidates for the second round of judging of the third national book of the year youth award was announced.
-420 bookstores from all over the country registered to operate in the "Bookstore Purchase System".
-The piece "Parse", a joint work by Sohail Kakavand and Ali Abedin, was published.-Reciting his poems “Arghavan” and “Sepideh”, Iranians bade farewell to their beloved poet Amir-Hushang Ebtehaj in front of Tehran’s Vahdat Hall on Friday.
-A commendation of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei for Japanese-Iranian cultural figure Koniko Yamamura’s memoir “Immigrant from the Land of the Sun” was unveiled on Wednesday.
-A Persian translation of English philosopher Ronald William Hepburn's ''The Reach of the Aesthetic: Collected Essays on Art and Nature'' has come into the Iranian bookstores.Masud Olya is the translator of the 2001 book published by Qoqnus.
-The book is compiled and translated by Seyyed Abbas Mousavi. Maria Rojas from Colombia and Seyyed Saeed Shahmoradi edited the Spanish translation of the book.
Architecture
-The first architecture and interior design conference of western Iran was held on September 2nd in the Ra’d complex’s conference hall in Tehran.
-The online session "How the art of painting is effective in architecture and interior architecture" was held on 1st September.
