TEHRAN. (HONARONLINE) – Shia clerics Ayatollah Nasser Makarem Shirazi and Ayatollah Hossein Nuri Hamedani have expressed strong Opposition to a plan by Iran and Turkey to make a film on Persian poet and mystic Molana Jalal ad-Din Rumi and his mentor, Shams-i Tabrizi, due to the Sufism content of the project named “Drunk on Love”.
TEHRAN. (HONARONLINE) – The lead cast of Iran-Turkey co-production Drunk on Love, directed by Hassan Fathi, includes Parsa Pirouzfar as 13th-century Persian poet Molana Rumi and Shahab Hosseini as his spiritual instructor and close friend, Shams Tabrizi.
TEHRAN.(HONARONLINE) – Iran and Turkey will collaborate on a joint film project, which will focus on the Lives of the Persian poet and mystic Molana Jalal ad-Din Rumi and Shams-i Tabrizi, the wandering sage who later became the mentor of Rumi in the 13th century CE.
