A selection of painting and calligraphy artworks by late Iranian artist Sadegh Tabrizi is on view in an exhibition in Tehran’s Sohrab Gallery. Titled The Portraist of Lovers, the program will continue until 18 February. Sadegh Tabrizi (1939-2017) was one of Iranian contemporary artists who have made a great contribution both to the “creation” and the “dissection” of Modern art in Iran.
A collection of artworks by the late Iranian artist Sadegh Tabrizi is in view at the Gallery of Behnam Daheshpour until Tuesday, 15 May.
TEHRAN.(HONARONLINE) – A number of artists and friends came together at the Tehran Museum of contemporary Art (TMCA) on Thursday to Commemorate Sadegh Tabrizi, a pioneer of calligraphic-painting in Iran who died at 79 in London in early January.
Thursday, February 22, saw tributes paid to Sadegh Tabrizi and his pool of artistic creativity at the Museum of Contemporary Art. The event, concurrent with his birthday, was attended by Director of Visual Arts Center Majid Mollanorouzi, Director of Contemporary Art Museum Ali Mohammad Zare’, as well as A-list artists Aydin Aghdashloo, Hossein Mahjoubi, Yaghoub Emdadian, and Abbas Mashadi-zadeh. Master Tabrizi is one of the few Iranian contemporary artists who have made a great contribution both to the creation and the dissection of Modern art in Iran.
