  • Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Mohammad-Mehdi Esmaili in his meeting with the visiting Iraqi Culture Minister Hassan Nadhim at Tehran Vahdat Hall referred to the cultural and civilizational commonalties of the two nations and exchanged views on improvement of bilateral cultural and artistic interactions.   • The 14th Fajr Visual Arts Festival opened at the Iranian Academy of the Arts in Tehran on Friday.The opening ceremony was attended by Mahmoud Shalouie, adviser to the minister, Deputy Culture Minister for Art Affairs Mahmoud Salari, Visual Arts Office Director Hadi Mozaffari, and Director of the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art Ehsan Aqaei.

  • The funeral ceremony for celebrated Iranian musician Pourang Pourshirazi, who died in Tehran on November 8 at the age of 47, was held in the presence of Mahmoud Shalouie, Mahdi Afzali, Mohammad Allahyari, Hamidreza Norbakhsh, Bardia Kiaras, Babak Chamanara, and a group of artists.
