3rd Ashura Costumes Exhibition

  • Vahdat Hall hosted the closing ceremony of the third edition of Ashura Costumes Exhibition. Cultural officials and fashion designers attended the event on Sunday. The costumes on display have been the award-winning regalia from recent festivals. The Day of Ashura marks the death anniversary of Third Shia Imam Hossein (AS) who was martyred in The Battle of Karbala in the 7th century, along with his 72 companions.

  • The third edition of the Ashura Costumes Exhibition is underway at Tehran’s Vahdat Hall. Deputy Culture Minister Seyyed Mohammad Mojtaba Hosseini attended the inauguration ceremony on Saturday. Each year, Muslims across the globe mark martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS) on Ashura Day which falls in the Islamic lunar month of Muharram.
