2 Iranian movies to compete in Calgary festival

TEHRAN.(HONARONLINE) - The 2018 Cannes jury announced the awards of the festival's 71st edition, with Japan’s ‘Shoplifters’ winning Palme d’Or and Iran’s Panahi sharing best screenplay prize for ‘3 Faces’.
TEHRAN.(HONARONLINE) - The movie is competing for the Palme d’Or along with the latest productions of celebrated filmmakers including Spike Lee, Jean-Luc Godard, Pawel Pawlikowski and Asghar Farhadi. The festival runs until May 19.
TEHRAN.(HONARONLINE) - French film production and distribution company Celluloid Dreams, based in Paris, has acquired world sales rights to Iranian director Jafar Panahi’s new film ‘3 Faces’ ahead of its world premiere in the Cannes Film Festival in May.
