The Art Basel Of Switzerland 2021 officially will be open very soon. This event is an international art exhibition that three times a year appears on calendar in Hong Kong, Miami and Switzerland. Each section of this umbrella covers recent contemporary or modern artworks of new generation of artists.
Apart from the main part of Basel Art Week, which takes place from September 24 to 26, From 21 – 26 September 2021, during Basel Art Week, selected international galleries are presenting outstanding artistic positions on drawing and the medium of paper in the centrally located Ackermannshof.
Paper positions basel wants this special genre to be focused on in this important week. The galleries and their artists are given a presentation opportunity, which is dedicated to the subject of drawing and the medium of paper with all its specific features, its fragility and its enormous versatility.
In the spirit of its fair concept, which refrains from classic booths and is completely tailor-made for the most sensitive exhibits, paper positions basel deliberately focuses on a salon-like situation with continuous exhibition walls. The limited number of exhibitors also underlines the character of a large theme-based exhibition. The spatial design offers an open overview as well as the possibility to directly approach individual artistic works and to perceive them in a mutual dialogue. O Gallery from Iran is participating in in the paper positions part of this event by showing works by two artists; Ashkan Saniei and Maryam Mohri works have been exhibited in Basel Art Week .
Another event to coincide with Basel Art Week is VOLTA Basel, which starts on September 20th. VOLTA debuted in Basel in 2005 as an art fair collaboration between dealers and friends. The aim was to secure a platform for international galleries beyond young art fair Liste and market heavyweight Art Basel.
With editions in New York, Basel, and Miami, VOLTA builds the foundation and platform for younger galleries to participate in the art markets’ major cities.
Mohsen Gallery with works of Majid Biglari, Zahra Ghyasi, Samira Hodaie and Bavan Gallery has displayed works by Elham Etemadi, Keiman Mahabadi, Payam Qelichy. Saradipour Art Gallery exhibits works by Mahdieh Abolhasan, and Abbas Nasle Shamloo.
From 20 – 26 September 2021, 81 galleries from 33 countries will present the latest voices in contemporary art at Liste’s new location for this year’s fair.
