Iranian photographer Mohammad-Ali Berno, who was honored last week at the PX3 2017 -- the Prix de la Photographie Paris for his collection “Mr. President”, dedicated his prize to President Hassan Rouhani, the Persian service of IRNA reported on Thursday.
Berno won the gold prize in the Political section of the Professional Press category for the series on Rouhani.
He also received an honorable mention for the collection in the Press/People/Personality category.
Earlier in 2014, Berno was selected at the PX3 as Photographer of the Year for his series “The Last Moment” depicting two criminals before being executed in Iran.
The PX3 2017 will showcase works of the winners in all categories in a six-day exhibit opening at the Espace Beaurepaire in Paris on July 11.
Jonathan Bachman from the United States was named Photographer of the Year for his photo titled “Protestor’s Eyes”.
In addition, Italian photographer Luca Izzo’s series “Desformes” won first prize the Fine Art category.
