An Iranian troupe led by director Sahra Ramezanian is performing a play based on Spanish author Miguel de Cervantes’ novel “Don Quixote” at Tehran’s Baran Theater.
The 1605 novel tells the story of a middle-aged Spanish man, Don Quixote. Obsessed with the chivalrous ideals touted in books he has read, he decides to take up his lance and sword to defend the helpless, undo wrongs and bring justice to the world.
Amir Oraei, Mahdokht Molai and Iman Esfahani are the main members of the cast for the play, which will be on stage until July 2.
