Cinema
- Acclaimed Iranian short movie “The Fourth Wall” scored another success on Sunday by obtaining the grand prize of the animation category at the 25th Japan Media Arts Festival.
- A lineup of seven Iranian movies will be screened at the 26th International Film Festival of Kerala, India.
-The Monstra-Lisbon Animation Festival that opened on Wednesday in the Portuguese capital has selected five movies by Iranian filmmakers to screen in its different categories.
-Iranian documentary film ‘Tonight’s Homework’ screened in the Ljubljana Documentary Film Festival in Slovenia.
-The movie “Mahdi Situation” directed by Hadi Hejazifar and produced by Habibaullah Valinejad, has been the most popular Nowruz movie to date. The film has had more than 9,000 viewers so far and has sold 325 million tomans of tickets.
Fashion
- An exhibition of works by traditional artists inspired by the five treasures of Hakim Nezami was held at the gallery of Professor Mahmoud Farshchian of the Saba Cultural and Artistic Institute.
- The call for the fifth edition of the Diba National Fashion Design Festival was published by the cultural deputy of Jihad University of Arts.
Visual Arts

-Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art (TMCA) is playing host to an exhibition displaying a collection of Iranian artworks on Persian poet Nezami Ganjavi. The museum has also borrowed some artworks from collectors for the showcase entitled “Panj Ganj” (“Five Treasures”).
-The fourth Islamic calligraphy exhibition in commemoration of Iran's 20th-century renowned female poet Parvin Etesami hخld in Tabriz displaying works by 40 calligraphers in Nastaliq, Thuluth, and Naskh scripting styles.
-Iranian photographers have won gold and silver medals at the 1st FKNS SLM Circuit, a circular exhibition of photography in Montenegro.
Theater
- A specialized meeting on the ancient roots of "Nowruz, Haji Firooz and Atash Afrooz" was held on Saturday, March 12, at the Namayesh House.
-Written and directed by Iranian playwright Amir Reza Koohestani, "Salgashtegi" has been staged in Madrid from March 11 to 13, 2022 in its latest international performance in Madrid, Spain.
-Seyed Mohammad Naderi, the head of the Fatah Narrative Cultural Foundation, appointed Seyed Vahid Fakhr Mousavi as the secretary of the 18th National Resistance Theater Festival.
Music
-The unveiling ceremony of the album “Khaniagar” with the voice of Shahram Nazeri, a famous Iranian singer, took place today, Saturday, March 12, 2014, in the presence of Chehrzad Bahar, daughter of the late King of Poets Bahar, Ali Nasirian, Mohammad Reza Darvishi, Alireza Qazveh and several well-known artists. Our country was held in the Museum of Iranian Music.
-Italian musicians Paolo Fresureal and Marcho Bardosica performed duets at Vahdat Hall, on March 14.
-The musical event of the Roudaki Foundation's orchestras entitled "New Century Instrument" was performed on the evening of Sunday, March 13, hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at Vahdat Hall. The event was attended by Foreign Minister wasqd Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, ambassadors, heads of political delegations and international organizations based in Tehran.
Culture and Literature
-The awards ceremony of the 26 winners of the 39th Book of the Year Awards of the Islamic Republic and the 4 winners of the 29th World Book Awards of the Islamic Republic was held with President Raeisi taking part.
-“US Arms Policies Towards the Shah’s Iran” by Stephen McGlinchey has been published in Persian. Translated by Mohammad-Shamseddin Abdollahinejad, the book was originally published in 2014. Qoqnus is the publisher of the book.
-Tehran’s Azadi Tower is illuminated on the eve of Nezami Ganjavi Day on March 11, 2022 to celebrate the Persian poet.
- Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has penned a commendation for a book that recounts the memories of a group of women who washed laundry in a hospital near a battle zone during the 1980-1988 Iran-Iraq war.
-Organized by the Iranian National Commission for UNESCO and in cooperation with Tehran Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts Department, “Norouz World, Traditions and Rituals” was held in Kooshk-e Bagh-e Honar (Palace-Garden of Arts) in Tehran to celebrate Norouz.

-Iranian and Indian poets held a commemoration ceremony for Iranian poet Faez Dashti in the southern port city of Bushehr on March 12, 2022.
-A Persian translation of Swiss writer Peter Stamm’s 2010 book “Why We Live outside Town” has won the gold prize of the 10th edition of the Flying Turtle Awards.Translated by Gita Rasuli, the book has been published by Ofoq with its original illustrations by Jutta Bauer.

-A series of webinars on "The place of BIM in architecture" with a speech by Hamed Azadbakht; Founder and senior designer of Saliz Architectural Design Office was held.
-Issue 141 of the bimonthly Architecture Magazine was published with the subject of "Architecture narrated by Cyrus Bavar".
-The binary of complex structures in architecture was held with a speech by Elham Shahabi in cyberspace
-The Italian Embassy in Tehran has unveiled yesterday the sixth edition of the international exhibition "Domus Design - Tehran 2022", as part of its celebrations of Italian Design Day, an initiative promoted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and the network of Italian Embassies abroad.
