Cinema
-Nearly two weeks after the closing of the 40th Fajr Film Festival, the Cinematict website published a statement about the early release of the list of winners.
-In the list of the top 50 films of 2021, selected by 187 international critics, Asghar Farhadi's new film is ranked 23rd.
-The five new films that have been released in cinemas so far have had less than 50,000 viewers.
-The 12th edition of the Tehran International Animation Festival, scheduled to be held in March, was postponed for three months as the Iranian capital battles to control an accelerating surge in Omicron infections.
-Elnaz Shakerdoost has shared the award for best actress for her role in the Iranian drama “Titi” at the Rabat International Author Film Festival (FICAR – Festival International du Cinema D’Auteur de Rabat) in Morocco.
-The 11th edition of the Qoqnus Screen Awards selected “The Situation of Mehdi” as the top movies of the year on Saturday.
- Leila Hatami, Berlin best actress winner for Asghar Farhadi’s Oscar-winning “A Separation,” in an interview with Variety has called for a wider range of Iranian cinema to be represented internationally
-The Brooklyn Academy of Music plans to review movies by Iranian filmmaker Shahram Mokri during a special program beginning Friday.
-Seven Iranian films are scheduled to go on screen at Iranian theaters during Nowruz, the Iranian New Year celebration, which will begin on March 21.
-In its 18th international presence, 'Eclipse' will take part in the 28th Regensburg Short Film Week in Germany.
Fashion
-The 11th Fajr Fashion and Clothing Festival will be held in May next year, with an emphasis on social clothing.
Visual Arts
-MPs maintained the tax exemption for artistic activities in parliamentary budget reviews.
-The prototype "Gallery of the Moon" containing 64 works of art arrived at the space station, and among these works is the work of "Hadi Milani", a space researcher, director of the space entrepreneurship program at the European Institute for Innovation and Sustainability.
-Last week, Tehran galleries hosted 26 new exhibitions in various fields of visual arts.

-The prizes of the fifth edition of the International Autumn Photo Festival, organized in collaboration with the three countries of Montenegro, Germany and Serbia, went to Iranian photographers.
- Sheep farmer life is under the spotlight in a photo exhibition underway at Farhang Gallery in Qom. Photos by 28 Iranian and Turkish photographers have been selected for the exhibition, which will be running until February 25.
Theater
-MPs maintained the tax exemption for artistic activities in parliamentary budget reviews.
-The show "The House is Black" directed by Mohsen Ardeshir began on the Sunday Feb.19 with the presence of a number of famous theater artists of and a speech by Qhotbedin Sadeghi in the main hall of the City Theater Complex.
- The play" A Month of a Thousand Skies", written and directed by Hamid Ebrahimi, will be staged in the Mehr Hall of Hozeh Honari.
-Pasamehr National Theater Festival announce, Since the announcement of the call 75 plays have been submitted in the stage section and filling out the registration form and uploading the film of their works to participate in the festival.
-The show Ophelia, written and directed by Massoud Taybi, will restage at the Shahrzad Theater Complex from Feb.28.
Music
-Milad Tower will host an exhibition of Iranian musical instruments with the support of the Hafta cultural and artistic complex from March 1 to 5.
-Roudaki Hall hosted the soloists of prominent Iranian music artists in the program "Naghmeh Roshan" from the 3rd to the 5th of Esfand.
Culture and Literature
-The eighth annual meeting of institutes active in the field of Persian language teaching in the world in cooperation with the Saadi Foundation and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will be held on March 29 at the Faculty of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
-The names of the winners and deserving of appreciation of the 16th Fajr Poetry Festival were announced.
-The press conference in honor of Hakim Nezami was held in the presence of Mahmoud Shaloui, Assistant Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance and Chief of Staff of Hakim Nezami.
-Cinema Museum of Iran has unveiled the book, ‘Jamshid Mashayekhi in Talks with Zaven Ghokasian and Vida Mashayekhi,’ wi unveiled in the presence of cultural and artistic personalities and media people at the Cinema Museum of Iran.
- A Persian translation of “Make Me” by the British author of thriller novels Lee Child has been published by Ketabsara-ye Tandis in Tehran. Mohammad Abbasabadi is the translator of the book first published in 2015, which is a novel from Child’s Jack Reacher series.
-Bolivian writer by Rodrigo Hasbún’s 2015 novel “Affections” has been published in Persian. Cheshmeh is the publisher of the book rendered into Persian from its original edition by Ramin Nasser-Nasir.
Architecture
-British-Iranian architect, educator and writer Farshid Moussavi has been awarded the Jane Drew Prize for Architecture 2022, an award recognising an architectural designer who, through their work and commitment to design excellence, has raised the profile of women in architecture.
-Behnaz Asadi and Nima Javidi won the New York Architects League Annual Talent Award for the Markham Project.
-Webinar "Historical context of Shiraz as a book" with a speech by Gholam Hossein Memarian; Professor of Iran University of Science and Technology will be held using the cyberspace platform.
