Invited by the Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra, Rahbari is slated to perform for the opening artistic season in Istanbul, IRNA reported.
It has been over 25 years that Rahbari has been cooperating with the orchestra. He has been invited several times to stage programs.
The upcoming performance will feature pieces by Cemal Reşit Rey, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, and Antonín Leopold Dvořák.
The famous violinist Kirill Troussov, who has won several international violin competitions and has given concerts with most conductors and orchestras in the world, will be the soloist of this concert.
His last performance in Türkiye was on May 25, 2019, when Rahbari performed at the Lotfi Kardar Congress Center at the invitation of the state orchestra.
Valery Gergiev, director of Mariinsky Orchestra in St. Petersburg, appointed Iran’s prominent maestro Ali Rahbari as the permanent guest conductor of the Russian orchestra.
Rahbari is a graduate of the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. He was the conductor of symphony orchestras in Brussels, Prague, Zagreb and Tehran, winning several international gold and silver medals.
He has been invited to more than 120 world orchestras and has collaborated with the state symphony orchestras of Istanbul, Ankara, Antalya, and Izmir in Türkiye for more than 25 years.
He has recorded almost 250 albums with the most important orchestras and operas of the world.
