A joint concert of artists from Iran and China was held in Beijing on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
‘My Mother Is Iran,’ composed by Ali Rahbari, was among the other pieces of music that were performed at the National Theater of China, IRNA reported.
Organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People’s Republic of China and the Islamic Culture and Communication Organization of Iran, the concert was held to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral diplomatic ties.
Along with ‘My Mother Is Iran,’ some pieces of the ‘Silk Road,’ composed by Zhao Jiping, and Beethoven’s Sixth Symphony were performed during the event.
In a congratulatory message, Chinese Culture Minister Hu Heping called the friendship between Iranian and Chinese nations deep, expressing hope that both countries will take advantage of this opportunity for reinforcing trust and cooperation.
“The joint concert of artists from the two countries conveys real emotions through music, while hearts connect through art,” he added.
Iran’s Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Mohammad Mehdi Esmaeili, in his message, described Iran and China as two ancient civilizations in Asia that enjoy cultural and artistic relations.
He expressed hope that the two states will promote cultural relations in various fields.
