The unveiling ceremony of the video clip "The Song of Humanity" composed by Sohrab Kashef, which has been produced with the aim of appreciating the country's medical staff, on Thursday, August 6, in a ceremony attended by Saeed Namaki, Minister of Health, Treatment and Medical Education and Seyed Abbas Salehi, Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, was held.
Seyed Mohammad Mojtaba Hosseini, Deputy Minister of Arts of the Ministry of Islamic Guidance, Mehdi Afzali, Managing Director of the Roudaki Foundation, and Mohammad Allah-Hayari Foumani, Director General of the Music Office, also attended the ceremony.
At the beginning of my speech, I'm expressing my warm greeting to the community of doctors, nurses and therapists of Iran. Increase in art production, including pieces of music, which doubled compared to last year, Special works for this occasion and presence in various scenes, hundreds of works and dozens of events with the efforts of artists continuing positive vibes transaction among society to be able to go against corona virus.
"The latest work is a piece by the Roudaki Foundation, composed and performed by the National Orchestra of Iran. The melody of this work is done by the young composer Mr. Sohrab Kashef, which is organized in a novel way to show that we all work together to win and succeed in the challenge that has arisen. Today, this group has come on behalf of the great artistic family of the Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education to unveil this work and present it to the noble, brave and self-sacrificing healers of the country". Seyed Mohammad Mojtaba Hosseini, Deputy Minister of Arts of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, said.
After this opening speech, Sohrab Kashef expressed his feelings; "In the early days of the coronavirus epidemic, these verses of Sa'di – Human beings are members of a whole, In creation of one essence and soul – were a ray of light on my father's heart and a guarantee on the poems of Sa'di that became the basis for "The Song of Humanity" music track".
"I spent a lot of time to editing and detailing the orchestration. Music was made, but it was not possible to perform due to the spread of the corona virus and lock down. Recording this piece with the presence of 130 singers and musicians in Roudaki Hall in the days of Corona and as an ensemble seemed impossible. Therefore, in order to record only a few minutes of music, with special hygienic measures in smaller groups and with observance of social distance, the recording process continued for two uninterrupted days until midnight. I would love to thank to each and every member for their sincere cooperation these days". Sohrab Kashef added.
Continuing the program, Seyed Abbas Salehi, Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, said in a speech: "The country's medical field has always been with the people for many years in the history of this country, especially the last forty years".
Referring to the efforts of culture, art and media during the outbreak of Corona virus, Mr. Salehi stated: The field of culture and art also sought medical staff during this period, and in these six months, the country's art movement passed its glorious period and performed its social responsibility well. We hope that today's small gift in the field of art will help the spirit of the country's medical staff more than before. He also mentioned about journalists since it was the international day of journalist; Journalists have always been active in social issues during these forty years, and especially this year. In 2020, one of the groups that sided with the health defenders were the members of the media who tried to protect the society from dangers with their reports and guidance.
After the speeches of the Minister of Guidance, Saeed Namaki, Minister of Health, Treatment and Medical Education, also said: As a little soldier of the health system, I kneel and kiss the creators of this piece and thank them. This beautiful work will warm the hearts of our colleagues and increase the speed of their service to patients together with hope. In conclusion, the Minister of Health congratulated the day of journalist and said: From the first day of the outbreak, these dignitaries helped us to inform and clarify to reduce the tension in society that I am kneeling and kissing their hands.
At the end of the program, a plaque of appreciation was presented by the Minister of Guidance and a video CD was presented to the Minister of Health by Kashif.
