A selection of musicians from the Tehran Symphony Orchestra and National Orchestra performed three concerts in Saint Petersburg,Moscow and Kazan in Russia last week.
Minnikhanov expressed his thanks to the officials for organizing the Kazan performance and said that cultural relations between Iran and Russia have been progressing.
“I appreciate the performance by the Iranian musicians in Kazan and I hope this cultural exchange will continue in the future. It’s a good event that the sports and music of Iran have been introduced to the people of Kazan during the 2018 World Cup in Russia. We must take this into consideration and reinforce bilateral relations,” he said.
“Iran enjoys a rich culture and history, which are of great interest for our people, and we would like to learn more about the country of Iran,” he added.
Iranian Ambassador Mehdi Sanai, Rudaki Foundation director Ali-Akbar Safipur and Tehran Symphony Orchestra conductor Shahrdad Rohani were present at the meeting.
