Bahram Parvin-Gonabadi, a researcher and a member of the Persian Language and Literature Academy, spoke about the importance of reading the book in order to revive the Iranian culture.
He considered ‘Shahnameh’ to be one of the most important documents of Iranian identity.
Referring to the fact that Ferdowsi was a landowaner, he said, the poet used all his capital to research and write the ‘Shahnameh’. He used all his material and spiritual assets to create the Persian masterpiece.
The university professor also compared Ferdowsi’s words with the poems of Rumi, Hafez, and Sa’di.
