The book, which is the story of Bibi Maryam, from her childhood to the Iranian Constitutional Revolution, was translated by Shima Elahi.
The book was published in cooperation with Iran’s Embassy in South Africa.
In the introduction of the book it is written: “The book was published by the Crown publication in Johannesburg in South Africa.”
The present book is the result of 11 years of research about Bibi Maryam Bakhtiari, one of the most famous and militant women in Iran during the constitutional era and the First World War (1914-1918), a unique woman in contemporary history and the mother of Alimardan Khan Bakhtiari, who was martyred in 1934.
In March 2014, Leader of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said, being composed of various tribes is an excellent feature of the Iranian nation.
Ayatollah Khameni made the remarks for a gathering of people to commemorate Alimardan Khan Bakhtiari, a well-known Bakhtiari figure.
The Leader expressed admiration for Alimardan Khan for his religious beliefs and uprising against Reza Shah’s autocracy.
