Various Persian translations of the Nahj-ul-Balagha, an anthology of political discourses, sermons, letters and sayings attributed to Imam Ali (AS), will be discussed in a meeting at the Persian Language Center in Tehran on Tuesday.
The Bukhara literary magazine will organize the meeting in collaboration with the Center for Publication of Islamic Science at 5:30 p.m., the magazine announced in press release on Sunday.
Seyyed Mostafa Mohaqqeq-Damad, Abdolmajid Ma’adikhah, Mohammad-Ali Mahdavi-Rad and Ahmad Pakatchi are scheduled to deliver speeches.
A new Persian translation of the Nahj-ul-Balagha by Ali-Asghar Faqihi will also be introduced at the session.
The Nahj-ul-Balagha (“The Peak of Eloquence”) were compiled by Seyyed Razi (d. 1015). It has been translated into many languages, including English, French, Russian and Spanish.
