Iranian director Parviz Shahbazi’s "Malaria" and Armenian director Levon Minasian’s "Bravo Virtuoso" have shared the award for the best feature film at the 12th International Oriental Film Festival of Geneva (FIFOG).
"Malaria" tells the story of a young woman who elopes with her boyfriend to spend her time in the company of a band of street musicians in Tehran.
"Au nom du père, du fils et du djihad" by Stephane Malterre from France was crowned best documentary during the closing ceremony of the festival on Sunday.
"Kabullywood", a joint production of Afghanistan and France by Louis Meunier, won the Golden Critics’ Award.
