The Movies that Matters festival takes place at Filmhuis Den Haag and Theater aan het Spui in The Hague, Netherlands from March 24 to April 1.

Two Iranian documentaries "A157" and "Sonita" are scheduled to screen during the festival.

"A157" directed by Behruz Nuranipur. The documentary is about young Turkish Yazidi woman, Haili and Roken two sisters and their friends Soolaf that ISIS attacked to their city, killing their fathers and the women were taken to prisoner and as slaves for o long time. They escape from the prison and line in a refugee camp in tent number A157.

Although Behruz Nuranipur's documentary "A157" will be shown at the 34th edition of BUFF, the international film festival in Malmö, Sweden from March 20 to March 25, 2017.

The second Iranian documentary which will be displayed during the festival is "Sonita" directed by Rokhsareh Qaem-Maqami is about an Afghan refugee who fights to become a rap star alive.

Previously "Sonita" displayed at the sixth Iranian Film Festival in the Czech Republic.

Movies that Matter Festival founded in March 2006, Movies that Matter followed in the footsteps of the Amnesty International Film Festival. It continued and enhanced the festival’s activities, both in the Netherlands and abroad.
