The Mons International Love Film Festival is an annual film festival held in Mons, Belguim. It was launched in 1984 by Elio Di Rupo a Belgian social-democratic politician has been held every year in February.
Iranian film "Daughter" directed by Reza Mirkarimi is in competition in the official section. The story is about a strict and traditional family who live in southern Iran.
Mirkarimi's film "Daughter" wins the Golden Peacock at the 47th International Film Festival of India and Golden St. George for Best Film Moscow International Film Festival 2016.
Also "Apricot Groves" an Iranian-Armenian movie by Purya Heidari-Ureh is scheduled to go on screen in the European Competition section of the festival. Dialogue of the movie is in three languages include English, Persian and Armenian .The film shows Aram, the Iranian Armenian youth who has immigrated to the US in childhood returns to Armenia for the first time to propose to an Armenian girlfriend Aram met and lived within the US. Aram sees many cultural, religious, and national differences on the one day trip, but harder obstacles are ahead.
