The film won the award for Best Feature Film from the point of view of the festival’s audience.
The movie is about three women who live in three different circumstances in Iran.
The film stars Fatemeh Motamed-Arya, Negar Javaherian, and Parsa Pirouzfar. The film’s cast includes Maryam Boubani and Parivash Nazariyeh.
This was not the only award of this festival for Iranian cinematic figures. Renowned Iranian actress Leila Hatami, who is presiding over the jury panel of the International Section of the event, also won the Golden Bicycle Honorary Award at France’s Vesoul International Film Festival of Asian Cinemas.
Founded in 1995 by Martine and Jean-Marc Therouanne, the Vesoul film festival means to present and promote the cinema of Asia, enhance intercultural dialogue, and encourage the discovery of other cultures through cinema. In 2018, they were honored at the Busan International Film Festival for their contribution to Korean cinema.
The French festival kicked off on Feb. 1 and concluded on Feb. 8
