Pourang Pourshirazi, symphony orchestra double bass player, dies at 47

Born in 1974, he learned the musical instrument from great musicians including Alireza Khorshidfar and Nader Mortezapour, IRNA reported.

In 1989, he became a member of the Tehran Music School, and a year later, he began his collaboration with the Youth String Orchestra.

Pourshirazi’s other activities include membership in the National Music Orchestra of Iran, Bahman Cultural Center Philharmonic Orchestra, Youth Philharmonic Orchestra, Niavaran Cultural Center String Orchestra, Tehran Symphony Orchestra, and Arasbaran Cultural Center Orchestra.
