Starting October 21, the event will finish with the awarding ceremony on October 28, ISNA reported.
‘A Hero’ is expected to go on silver screen at cinema theaters across the US from January 7, 2022.
“In his latest film, two-time Oscar winning director Asghar Farhadi (A Separation and The Salesman) once again masterfully explores the depths of moral grey areas,” reads the official website of the festival.
“A young man can leave his prison cell for two days after being sentenced for non-payments of his debts. By sheer luck he finds 17 gold coins, but when he figures out that they are not enough to buy his freedom, he returns them to their rightful owner – a selfless gestures that turns him into a media sensation,” the website writes of the movie’s synopsis.
Amir Jadidi, Mohsen Tanabandeh, Ra’na Azadivar, Fereshteh Sadr-Orafai and Sarina Farhadi have costarred in Farhadi’s latest feature.
The film brought Farhadi the Grand Prix award at the 74th Cannes Film Festival in July.
