‘Mr. Deer’, will go on screen on November 22 and 24, to vie with rivals for a 2,000-euro prize.
‘Mr. Deer’ is a 20-minute stop motion animation which utilizes the puppet technique to narrate a story set in an unknown time, in a ruined subway station which is similar to those in modern European societies. People in this society have animal faces and have forgotten humanity.
The animated piece won the Special Animation award at the 28th Animafest Zagreb in Croatia.
The short film is concurrently shown in Kobani International Film Festival in Syria.
‘Mr. Deer’ took part in three international film festivals in France, Brazil and Canada in September.
Exground Filmfest is amongst Germany’s most important film festivals for international independent productions. It is an important meeting place for journalists, specialized visitors, and guests from the film business.
