As the officials of Oscar Film Festival are preparing to announce their initial shortlist, ‘Retouch’ directed by Kaveh Mazaheri received Jury Prize at the 35th Tous Courts Film Festival.
Tous Courts Film Festival, the 35th edition of which was held in 2017, is, together with Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, one of most prestigious short film festivals in France which screens the most outstanding short films from around the world annually.
‘Retouch’ vied at the 35th Tous Court Festival with 50 other short films from around the globe, and tells the story of a woman who finds the chance to be rid of an abusive husband.
One of the most interesting aspects of this festival is its prizes. The prize given to Kaveh Mazaheri's short film consists of three parts. The first part is a cash prize of 1500 Euros. The second part includes film making equipment such as walkie-talkie and HF microphone worth of 1500 euros. The third part is a 900 euros fund to buy equipment (such as crane, tracking dolly system and rails) for making a film in Marseille port.
The 35th Tous Court Short Film Festival took place from November 27 to December 2, 2017 in Aix-en-Provence, France.
