TEHRAN.(HONARONLINE) - “Yeva”, a joint production of Iran and Armenia directed by Iranian-Armenian filmmaker Anahid Abad, will go on screen in the World Cinema section of the 40th Mill Valley Film Festival in California.
The film tells the story of Yeva, a young woman who escapes her influential in-laws with her daughter Nareh after her husband’s tragic death, and takes refuge in one of the villages of Karabakh, Armenia.
Iranian shorts “Lunch Time” by Alireza Qasemi and “Not Yet” by Aryan Vazir-Daftari will also go on screen at the festival, which will run in from October 5 to 15.
