Iranian director Mostafa Taqizadeh’s debut film “Yellow” won the Jury Grand Prix of the 20th Shanghai International Film Festival, which was held in the Chinese metropolis from June 17 to 26.
The film also brought its lead Sareh Bayat the award for best actress.
“Yellow” tells the story of a group of close friends who try to pay for a lifesaving liver transplant.
“Pedicab,” directed by Paolo Villaluna from the Philippines received the Golden Goblet trophy for best film at the festival, while “I Am a Killer” by Maciej Pieprzyca from Poland won the best director award.
