The acclaimed acid attack drama “Lanturi” won the award for best film at the Festival Internacional de Cine de Derechos Humanos (International Film Festival on Human Rights), which ran from May 31 to June 7 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
“I dedicate this award to the victims of the Tehran terrorist attacks, the innocent people who are the victims of the cruelty of the enemy of human rights, which is Daesh,” Dormishian said in a statement published on Saturday.
The movie starring Baran Kowsari and Navid Mohammadzadeh tells a love story that is turned tragic by external circumstances.
Last Wednesday, two terrorist attacks, one on the executive building of Iran’s Parliament and the other on the mausoleum of Imam Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Revolution, left 17 dead and 56 injured. Daesh (ISIS) claimed credit for the attacks.
